What this is

College Planner is a personal project, not a company and not a product anyone is paying for. It is free, it is maintained in spare time, and it can be slow, wrong or briefly offline. There is no support desk and no uptime promise. If it disappears one day, you should not have anything on here that exists nowhere else.

Your account

You sign in with Google, so keeping that account secure keeps this one secure. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Use the app as yourself — do not sign in on someone else's behalf or hand out access to your account.

Your work stays yours

Your courses, assignments, syllabus files, lectures and notes belong to you. Nothing here claims ownership of them, and nothing is published, sold or shown to another account except through the sharing switches you turn on yourself. What is stored and what sharing actually exposes is spelled out in the privacy notice.

Check the schedule before you trust it

Syllabus and schedule extraction is done by a language model. It misreads dates, misses assignments and invents the occasional one. Walking times are estimates over public map data, and campus events come from UCF's public sites as-is. Treat everything here as a convenience copy: your syllabus, Webcourses and your professor are the record that counts. Missing a deadline because this app got it wrong is still a missed deadline.

Webcourses and UCF

This project is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the University of Central Florida or Instructure. Connecting Webcourses is your choice and your responsibility: your access token carries the full permissions of your Canvas account, using it here has to stay within UCF's acceptable-use policy, and you can revoke it at any time from Webcourses itself.

Recording lectures is on you

The notetaker exists because typing during a lecture is miserable, not because every class allows it. Whether you may transcribe a lecture is between you, your professor and your school, and the law where you are. Get permission, and tell the people around you.

Reasonable use

• Do not upload someone else's private material, or coursework you are not allowed to copy.
• Do not use the app to break your school's academic-integrity rules. Notes and summaries are for studying, not for handing in.
• Do not attack it — no scraping, no hammering the servers, no probing other accounts' data, no working around the sharing settings.
• Treat invite links like passwords, and only send them to people you actually want on that calendar.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: delete what you want gone, disconnect Webcourses, or ask for the whole account to be removed and it will be deleted with everything attached to it. From this side, an account being used to attack the app or harm other people can be suspended, and the app itself may be shut down or changed without notice.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, and to the extent the law allows, the person who built it is not liable for lost work, missed deadlines, missed classes or anything else that follows from using it. That is the honest trade for a free tool built by one student.

Changes

These terms can change as the app does. The version on this page is the one in force, and the date below says when it last moved.
